”In early December, Delamain’s Cellar Master, Dominique Touteau, was short-listed, for the prestigious prize « Talents du Luxe et de la Création ». Created by The Centre du Luxe which has been a think-tank and advisor to businesses in the creative and luxury sector since 2001. They launched the first “Sommet sur le luxe” 17 years ago, in the aim of recognizing 12 outstanding and influential talents in the Luxury Industry.
At the Gala Ceremony on the 5th of February 2019 at the Paris InterContinental hotel, Dominique Touteau received the prize in the category of “Talent de l’Elégance”. It is a well-deserved personal honour for Dominique Touteau, whose career with Delamain spans 38 years. As part of his entry, Dominique submitted three of our Grande Champagne cognacs to the judges. These included the Pale & Dry X.O, which almost 100 ago was considered to be the quintessence of what could be created through combining the best of human and natural inputs, and remains so to this day. To be able to replicate this cognac 100 years on is one of Dominique’s many accomplishments.”
