Op speciaal verzoek bracht top sommelier Lendl Mijnhijmer samen met oprichter Hein van Beek van QL Hotels & Restaurants en een collega van Verbunt Verlinden eind april een 3-daags bezoek aan Graham’s Port. De reis startte bij de Graham’s 1890 Lodge in Porto en eindigde een dag later via een tocht over de Douro bij Quinta dos Malvedos.
Een korte samenvatting op de site van QL hotels: ”During the second day of an amazing trip they visited the Douro river (the Golden River). Not only did they taste delicious Ports of Graham’s Port, they could also enjoy the wonderful views of this beautiful region.
White port with tonic as an aperitif, could be the summerhit of 2019! At the tasting, there was an exclusively (first time) taste of the Graham’s Port Vintage 2017! At Quinta de Roriz a lunch and tasting with Chryseia, Post Scriptum and Prazo de Roriz, the top red wines of the Douro region.”
